Arriving in London

We couldn't believe it, when we arrived, that it was pouring with rain. We had left home in bright sunshine.

 

The stewards lined the route to the Olympic Park. They were very wet and very helpful although everyone of them said it was only another two minutes walk. A total of 10 minutes in the rain isn't too much fun.

 After the security check (not photographed) we boarded one of the many buses that cross the Olympic Park and watched with interest all the areas still under construction. These photos show the rain drenched area just outside the Basketball arena.
